LIFO Method - A hidden treasure in Indian People Development Domain
This approach identifies four different life orientations that define the way we tackle our work and our relationships with others. The LIFO questionnaire can identify the basic rules that govern the behavior pattern adopted, to then find the strengths – both in good times and moments of stress – and the variables that can transform this strength into excesses, and so into dormant potential. The overall picture presented by the results of the questionnaire – never discouraging (non-intimidating) because based on positively seeking out personal talents – thus becomes a tool for setting out as most productive training /coaching/consulting intervention.
What are we trying to do by using the LIFO method?
- Support people to value and manage their strengths and those of others to achieve greater satisfaction and better outcomes.
- Empower others to maximize their strengths and deliver individual and organizational results.
- Build on strengths people have step by step to manage the differences among them logically and systematically so they achieve their long-term objectives.
- Create an exchange between people where they celebrate their differences so that they all feel comfortable and do well together.
You may notice that these points sound similar and that one or more of them makes more sense to you than the others. That is because we each have preferred ways to see the world and preferred ways to hear information. Each of these points says something very similar but from differing points of view.
It is helpful to notice where your preferences lie to be most effective — for yourself and with others. That is the essence of the LIFO Method.
